Hi, folks,

OK, let's start :a114:

First of all, here is the orignal grayscale image:

And here is final colored image:

Step 1: clone the background image and adjust the new generated layer with Color Curve adjustment tool
the second option of color adjusment tool.
While adjust the color curve, you need to check the corresponding RGB color underneath the curve panel.
and drag the corresponding color line. Keep eyes on the right hand preview box. to see the result.
If the object on the image isn't shown in the preview box, you can drag the preview box image to reposition the image focus center.
Very soon you will find the great result.

Step 2: adjust hair color. Use polygon selection tool and colone the layer 1 with only the hair part (using the second option of clone tool). The adjust the new generated hair layer.

Step 3: Now adjust the eyes color.
Same way as hair color adjusment. Make sure to set the selection mode to Union so that you can get two eyes get selected. Also after the final adjustment, you might want adjust the contrast and brightness of both eyes with the general color balance tool.

For the final touch, you should use the soft erasor to get rid of those extra part of eyes layer.

Step 4: adjust the background color.
Same to select the background part with polygon tool and apply the channel curve adjustment tool.
