This is mostly all circles and gradients and we'll try one of the new textures.
We'll try to create a speaker ( woofer ) with screws around the edges. Hopefully something like this,
Start off by creating a new photo that is 500x500 and with a white background.
Head over to the 'fill shape' tool and select 'circle' from the drop down menu.
Up top put a check in 'gradient' with the settings, 400 - forward diagnal - single.
Now on the white background use your cursor to drag out a fairly large circle. Go to the top menu - layer - and center the layer.
Now we'll add some texture to the speaker.
Switch the colors so that the primary color is white. Put a check mark in the 'apply texture' box and one in the box beside the first texture selections. Click on the downward arrow and scroll down to the second last mesh type texture and select it.
Make sure you have 'fill shape' and 'circle' selected, then drag out another circle, but leave this one a little bit smaller than the first. Go up to 'layers' and center this one too. If it doesn't seem to go right in the center, click on the 'hand' on the layer manager and move the circular mesh manually.
Now to make the outer edge of the speaker.
Click on the primary color box to bring up the color selections and choose the dark gray and ok. ( you can make it a little darker gray if you want by clicking on the 'define custom colors' button and moving down the slider.)
This time we will select 'draw shapes' and 'circle'. Make sure there are no check marks in the 'gradient' box or the 'apply texture' box and set the size to 40.
Drag out a circle that's large enough to cover the outer parts of both the other two circles and center it.
Now we need the black rubber ( shock absorber) part.
Set the primary color to black, click and select 'draw shapes' and 'circle' . This time set the size to 25 and drag out your circle. Have it cover some of the outer edge circle but leave room for the screws. You can use the 'hand' move tool to resize and move the circle into place. ( You can go up to the top menu too and make sure the layer is centered.)
Half way there, lol.

Ok, time for a little depth to the center of our speaker.
Make sure the colors are set to, primary - black and secondary - white.
Put a check mark in the 'gradient' box and have the settings, 200 - Radial - single. Drag out a circle and adjust it's size and position with the 'hand/move' tool until you like it. It should look black towards the center and get lighter and transparent looking as you go out.
Next up is the center cone.
There's no picture for it but it's simple. You just change the gradient settings to 'forward diagnal' and 'double'. Then drag out a small circle to cover the center of the speaker.
( Optional ), if you want you can give it a bit of a better look by going up to 'filter' - 'Photoshop filters' - 'Photo tools' - 'Frosted edger' - 'Black' and just use the default settings of the plugin.
Now you want to give the black 'rubber' part some definition so it looks rounded.
Set the primary color to white. Click on 'draw shape' and 'circle'. Set the size to 15 and make sure the 'gradient' is unchecked, you want just a simple white circle. This can be a bit tricky but drag out your white circle and keep adjusting the size and position until you have it just over the black one leaving just a bit of the black one showing all around.
( Not in Picture )Go up to the top menu and click on 'Filter' - 'embedded filters' - 'Blur'. Put a check mark in 'Gaussian blur' and move the slider to the right about half way, then ok.
Now slide the opacity bar down quite a bit until you get that rounded look.
Almost done, just the screws left.
You may want to zoom in on your picture to work on the first screw.
Keep the primary color white and switch to 'fill shapes' and 'circle', with no gradient again.
Drag out a small circle at the top gray outer edge of your speaker. Change the primary color to black and the 'fill shapes' to 'rectangle'. Drag out a small rectangle across the center of the screw, position it if necessary and lower the opacity to look better. On the layer manager put check marks next to these two 'screw' layers and 'merge remove' so that they are one now.
You can zoom out now.
We'll give this screw a little definition now by going to the top menu, 'Filter' - 'Photoshop filters' - 'Photo tools' - 'Frosted edger' - 'black' and just use the default settings, ok. You might want to blur it a bit too, go to the top again, 'Filter' - 'embedded filters' - 'blur' and move the slider just a small amount. If you find the screw too bright looking just go to the 'adjust color' tool on the layer manager and turn down the brightness a bit.
Now you need more than one screw so next you will have to clone that one seven times. Make sure your 'screw' layer is selected and go to the clone tool on the layer manager. Select 'clone current whole layer' seven times. Select each screw in the layer manager and place them around your speaker, also when you place them click one the 'rotate tool' and in the drop menu choose some random rotations so all your screws don't look the same.
Thats it !! You should have a cool looking speaker now.
Next maybe we'll add a tweeter plus a speaker box and animate it.
